I’m sure by now most of you will have seen the infamous Three Mobile #SingitKitty ad, yes the one with the cute little girl riding her bike with the singing cat in her basket. In case you haven’t here it is again:
The ad is absolutely brilliant which is why it went viral so quickly,
however imagine my surprise sitting eating my lunch enjoying a little
bit of Loose Women (guilty pleasure) when on comes this ad, two seconds
later I’ve spat my tea everywhere and I’m jumping up and down like a
loon, my husband assumes that I have in fact finally lost the plot (long
overdue) and asks what on earth is wrong with me..
“She’s wearing my necklace!” I scream
“What? What do you mean?” he replies
“look! The little girl is wearing Clarissa the Cupcake!!!”
At which point I have rewound the ad (love Sky +) to show him, that yes in fact the little girl riding the bike with the singing cat in her basket is in fact wearing my bestselling Clarissa the Cupcake necklace and it can be seen quite prominently throughout the ad.
Then all the messages started to flood in, people contacted me through my Facebook Page
to say they’d seen the ad at the cinema and they were pretty sure it
was my necklace, people who’d seen it on TV. It is lovely to have such
an instantly recognisable brand, and I am thrilled that Three decided to
use it in the advert.
It can also be seen in all the promo material they produced..
About a week later I was in touch with the mum of the little girl who stars in the advert, and the owner of the singing cat. We decided Jolie and Bronte deserved some cupcake goodies as memento’s of their fantastic advert so we sent off a whole pack of Clarissa the Cupcake goodies to Jolie and a lovely personalised Cat Tag for Bronte. They were thrilled as you can see:
I would like to say all this attention hasn’t gone to Clarissa’s head,
but she was always a popular cupcake and now demands an entourage
wherever she goes..
