The Coonhound is a loyal, athletic, and determined scent hound originally bred in the United States for tracking and treeing raccoons. Known for their long ears, expressive eyes, and deep baying voice, Coonhounds are hardworking hunting dogs with a loving, gentle side.
This breed is friendly, social, and great with children, making them excellent family companions. They’re happiest when they have space to roam and a job to do — but at home, they’re affectionate and laid-back. Their keen sense of smell and tracking instinct are among the best in the dog world.
Our dog tag features a custom Coonhound illustration and can be personalised with your pet’s name and contact details. Whether you own a Black and Tan, Redbone, Bluetick, or another Coonhound variety, this design is a heartfelt tribute to this iconic American breed.

What contact details should I include?
In the UK, it is a legal requirement for your dog to wear a collar or tag with your details in a public place. The pet tag (or collar) should include the surname and address (specifically the door number and postcode) of the owner and a contact number is advisable.
A layout we recommend is:
A Smith
1 Dog Road
Woofville
DG1 2WF
01234 567890
Contact Numbers are optional, however we highly recommend to include at least one contact number.
What should I put on the front of the tag?
Look through our pet breed images to choose one of our Hoobynoo original dog illustrations.
Then you can choose to personalise the front of the tag with the wording of your choice, we recommend keeping this to less than 20 characters for the best appearance on the tag.
Some options to go on the front of the tag include
Your dog’s name ( You may prefer not to for security reasons)
I’m Chipped
Call my Humans
If found
Microchipped
Needs Meds
Your Surname
