Great Dane Dog Breed Information

great dane dog breed information

The Great Dane is one of the largest and most distinctive dog breeds in the world. It is also called a Deutsche Dogge or a German Mastiff.

The great dane tends to cost in the region of £1000 (£800 for a non-KC registered variety), so if you see great dane puppies for sale in a newspaper or online do keep this price in mind.

A great dane is expected to live between 8-10 years on average, is usually around 76cm-81cm in height and generally weighs in at approx 54kg.

Great Danes are averagely difficult to train with an average intelligence, are ideal for children and require a lot of exercise to stay satisfied. They can tolerate being alone for a moderate period of time.

Here at Hoobynoo, the great dane is one of our most popular requests for dog tags. Our personalised dog id tags featuring great danes entered our Top 50 for the first time in 2018. Our vast selection of great dane accessories can be found HERE.
