About the Prague Ratter

The Prague Ratter (also known as the Prazský Krysarík) is one of the smallest dog breeds in the world — but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in personality! Originally from the Czech Republic, this tiny yet confident breed was once a favorite of nobility and is still beloved today for its playful spirit, loyalty, and alert nature.

Prague Ratters have a sleek, compact build, big expressive eyes, and a short, glossy coat — often in striking black and tan. Bred as a skilled ratter, they’re quick, intelligent, and surprisingly brave for their size. They're affectionate with their people, forming strong bonds, and often becoming little shadows around the house.

Ideal for city living or smaller spaces, the Prague Ratter is energetic, eager to learn, and happiest when included in daily life. They love cuddles just as much as playtime and are known to be social, cheerful companions.

Key Traits of the Prague Ratter:

  • One of the world’s smallest dog breeds

  • Sleek black & tan coat with a compact build

  • Intelligent, lively, and loyal

  • Great for apartment living or small homes

  • Social and affectionate with family

  • A rare breed full of charm and courage

Our Prague Ratter-inspired pet tag celebrates everything that makes this tiny powerhouse of a dog so special. Whether you’re a proud owner or shopping for a thoughtful dog lover’s gift, this design is made to honour the unique spirit of the Prazský Krysarík.

What contact details should I include?

In the UK, it is a legal requirement for your dog to wear a collar or tag with your details in a public place. The pet tag (or collar) should include the surname and address (specifically the door number and postcode) of the owner and a contact number is advisable.

A layout we recommend is:

A Smith
1 Dog Road
Woofville
DG1 2WF
01234 567890

Contact Numbers are optional, however we highly recommend to include at least one contact number.

What should I put on the front of the tag?

Look through our pet breed images to choose one of our Hoobynoo original dog illustrations.

Then you can choose to personalise the front of the tag with the wording of your choice, we recommend keeping this to less than 20 characters for the best appearance on the tag.

Some options to go on the front of the tag include

Your dog’s name ( You may prefer not to for security reasons)

I’m Chipped

Call my Humans

If found
