About the Skye Terrier
The Skye Terrier is a rare and elegant terrier breed from Scotland, known for its long, flowing coat, feathery ears, and loyal heart. Originally bred to hunt foxes and badgers along the rugged Isle of Skye, this low-to-the-ground but strong-willed dog is as brave as it is beautiful.
With their distinctive look — long body, short legs, and silky coat — Skye Terriers are true head-turners. But their charm goes beyond appearances. These dogs are affectionate, devoted, and form deep bonds with their people. They’re known for their loyalty and gentle temperament, though they can be a little reserved with strangers.
Despite being a terrier, the Skye has a more laid-back and dignified personality than many of its cousins, making it a calm and loving companion. They enjoy moderate exercise, quiet companionship, and plenty of grooming attention to keep their signature coat looking its best.
