As you all know April has been Hoobynoo's Birthday Month and we turned 6 years old!
To celebrate our exciting news not only did we have a birthday sale on our Pet Tags, but we also decided to throw a Virtual Birthday Party so that our Facebook Hoobynoo family could join in on all the fun no matter where they were in the world.
Our Facebook Live video became active around lunchtime once we had decorated our Hoobynoo HQ with marble coloured balloons, unicorn streamers, glittery decoration twirlers which you hang up on the ceiling - I can never remember what they are called! - and of course rainbow lanterns in the colour of our Hoobynoo Logo.
Once Hoobynoo HQ was unicorn-ed to perfection we started the Facebook Live video so that all our online Hoobynoo-ers could join in and party with us. Chiara did a marvelous job of attempting to feed the watchers with some of our yummy party food - without getting any mess on the camera! We had ample amounts of crisps, sweets, chocolate birthday cake, sausage rolls, cheese and onion rolls, brownies and of course more cake!

Sinead made some intensly suggary rainbowfied Cookie cupcakes. She said she was trying to make this recipe which she found on Pinterest for our Birthday Board however it did not quite go according to plan and she ended up making a very delicious cookie cupcake that was dipped in icing and then sprinkled with hundreds-and-thousands! She also made a mega brownie which had an enormous amount of colourful sweets sprinkled on the top of a deliciously gooey brownie.
And what else do you do at parties apart from eating a lot of party food...Play some games!
We started by playing Rhino Hero, it is a simple and fun game where you have to use the cards to build a tower and place the little rhino hero onto the next level of the building. This game was going really well, until we realised that leaving the office door open to let some air in caused the tower to wobble and shake rather a lot and it (supposedly) was the reason for several staff losing. If you like Jenga then this game is definitely for you!
Following from this we then played 'Pin the Horn on the Unicorn!' This was a fun little poster and sticker set we picked up on amazon for under £1 and it felt very appropriate for our Unicorn Rainbow party! Each horn had a number on and once we were blindfolded and spun around we had to stick the sticker as close to the unicorn as we could. The results were very close and we had to ask our Facebook Viewers who they thought won and they voted for Barbra!
All in all we had a fantastic birthday party and we were thrilled to have been able to share the enjoyment with people on Facebook. However the bar has now been set and our mission for our 7th birthday is to have an even bigger birthday bonanza next year!
If you missed out on the party you can still watch it here!
