Have you ever wanted to go to a market dedicated just for dogs?
Where you can find not only the tastiest treats but also the comfiest of beds and the most fabulous of accessories!

Well if you're in London the weekend of the 14th October then you should certainly check out London's Largest indoor Dog Market: Doggy Style Market in Leake Street, London.

What made you think to start a London Market dedicated purely for dog and dog owners?

First and foremost, everyone involved in the event is an animal lover, I am a dog owner, so we thought what better way to celebrate our four-legged friends than with a market entirely devoted to them. Living in London, dog owners are quite limited for what brands they can find locally and, in most cases, ordering online doesn’t work well when buying apparel for our pets as they are all sized so differently. We knew there was demand so went about setting up DOGGY STYLE.

Can people bring their pets too?

Yep, everyone is welcome, with friendly dogs top of the guest list 😊
We wanted to give something back with this event, so it is ticketed (£4 in advance (Buy Here!) or £5 on the door) with ticket sales going to dedicated dog charity, All Dogs Matter. Children under the age of 12 go free.

What type of stores can attenders of the market expect to see?

We have an excellent mix of stalls, from treats to designer collars, bedding, toys and so much more! Through DOGGY STYLE we have tried to curate a varied selection of cool, hip and independent brands, to bring something a bit different to the dog owner. With that in mind we have artisanal food devotees Neoh & Nobo and Hunter & Hound along with some of our favourite designers including Ellery Bow, Scouts Honour, The Cosy Canine Company, Tommi, Pet Hates Toys and Slumbering Hound. Is there hands on (or rather Paws on!) experiences for dogs to try?

Yes, there is! We are delighted to have Woofs to Kittys on board, who are offering a selection of grooming treatments for the pampered pooch, along with selling their natural pet products.

For dogs who like their moment in the spotlight (that’s every dog we know!), we have Pup Up London and their photographic pawtrait service - at this event they have chosen the theme of ‘Santa Paws’, ideal for this year’s Christmas card! In addition, we have an indoor play area and some special doggy surprises.

Will there be food and drink stalls for both Humans and Dogs?

Both dogs and owners will be catered for. For our furry friends we have Bottom Sniffer Beer and Pawsecco, plus a mixture of tasty treats. Not forgetting the proud owners, adjoining graffiti themed speakeasy, Rat Bar, will be serving their unique freshly baked pizzas in addition to an extensive collection of craft beers, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.

Shout About London have held the ‘It’s A Vegan Ting’ market at the venue a few times which is extremely popular. With DOGGY STYLE we are already looking at a date for the next event, given the overwhelming response we have had from brands wanting to participate – watch this space 😊

We started thinking about this event back at the start of the summer, over a dog walk in a London park with some local dog walking friends. Shout About London then proposed we use their 26 Leake St venue for the market, so that was easy, thankfully.

The venue has played host to many successful events since its launch last year, and given its expanse we knew it would make the optimal setting for our dog-friendly market.
