Marketing & Studio Assistant – Immediate Start

Based in Manston Business Park - CT12 5FA

Join our fun, friendly, small ecommerce company promoting our unique personalised pet tags and personalised pet gifts.

We are a small family business looking for an organised, animal-loving individual to come and work with us on our social media and marketing activities.

We are looking for a charismatic individual, who is confident in front of the camera, to manage our social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter.
This would include creating reels and participating in live streams and coming up with original engaging content ideas to allow us to connect with our audience in a genuine way.

During busy periods like November/December you will be required to help with packing and order fulfilment in addition to your role and handle customer enquiries.

A CV and covering letter will need to be supplied, a degree is not required, we are interested in your personality and your ability to engage with our audience across multiple platforms.

Job Type: Part-time, initially 1-2 days a week, 7-14 hours a week (this may increase as needed) Trial period will be required, contract will run until Christmas 2024, when it will then be subject to review and the possibility of extension.

Salary: Minimum Wage

Responsibilities and Duties

Your Role

  • Developing and executing social media content across our platforms. This would include posts, lives, reels and engaging with our audience on an ongoing basis.
  • Setting up Social Media Ad campaigns
  • Creating email marketing campaigns
  • Coming up with marketing ideas and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

Skills & Experience

  • A strong knowledge of social media platforms and content creation and an interest in social media.
  • Solid understanding of TikTok content creation, video editing for reels and an eye for photography.
  • The ability to create graphics for content in either canva or photoshop consistent with our branding.
  • Knowledge of creating email marketing campaigns and automation, Mailchimp in particular would be a plus.
  • Relevant educational background with a preference to marketing and english – recent graduates with no prior experience are welcome.
  • An excellent communicator, who is great at building relationships, a good team player and a positive person with a can do attitude.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and creative ideas.
  • Good knowledge of spelling and grammar is essential.
  • You are someone with lots of enthusiasm; you are able to take direction and feedback.
  • We are located in a business park with no public transport so your own transportation is essential.
  • Your working hours may increase during busy periods or as is required, flexibility is essential. We are also happy to be flexible with your start and finishing times.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 14 per week
