The Pug is one of the most instantly recognisable dog breeds in the UK and one of the most popular dogs in the world. Variations include the Chinese Pug, Dutch Bulldog, Dutch Mastiff, Mini Mastiff, Mops (Germany), Carlin (France), Mopsi (Finland) and Doguillo (Spain).
The pug often lives between 12 - 14 years
The pug tends to cost in the region of £900 (around £700 for a non-KC registered variety), so if you see pug puppies for sale in a newspaper or online do keep this price in mind.
A pug is usually around 35cm in height and generally weighs in at between 6-8kg.
Pugs are moderately easy to train with an average intelligence, are good with children and require a moderatel amount of exercise to stay satisfied. They do not like being alone even for short periods of time.
Here at Hoobynoo, the pug is one of our most popular requests for dog tags. Our personalised dog id tags featuring pugs entered our Top 5 for the third time in 2018. Our vast selection of pug accessories can be found HERE.
Every dog while in a public place should wear a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached to it.
